eQweb, an IT design company that develops professional solutions for tourism, health, industry and services, has chosen Acapela to speech enable its global communication tool, eQcom.
eQcom groups several data transfer channels to allow companies and local authorities to organise and automate targeted information distribution.
eQcom handles the entire communication process: collecting information, processing, filtering and translating it, and then rendering it automatically for the end users.
A communication matrix enables fast and easy identification of the target users who correspond to the type of information collected, and identifies the best-adapted media (SMS, telephone, fax, web, IVR...). At the heart of this tool, Acapela High Quality TTS can vocalise any written data, to provide an oral alert, in real time, for the identified users. For example, an avalanche alert can be rapidly delivered over the phone to all the partners of a ski resort.
The TTS technology also enables permanent and automatic updating of the vocal server which then uses the data to inform users: opening and closing times of sites, weather forecasts, road and traffic information, special events, etc. The information is read out loud with optimal intelligibility, thanks to the quality of the Acapela voices.
The eQweb solution was chosen by the "Compagnie du Mont Blanc" in the French alps, to make sure the right people get the right information, at the right time. "This is an important function, in a tourist area where security and efficiency depend on the access and distribution of real time and up-to-date information." Says Joël Porret, part of the eQweb management team.
eQcom, designed for European tourist resorts is already available in English and French, and will soon be deployed in German, Spanish and Italian.
