Acapela announces new versions of its flagship products

Acapela Multimedia 6.01, available for Windows, (including Windows Vista) and Mac OS X, allows developers to integrate voice synthesis in the following sectors: accessibility, education, multimedia applications such as screen readers for the visually impaired, learning aids in schools as well as multimedia presentations.

This new version of Acapela Multimedia 6.01 extends Acapela’s family of existing voices with the addition of the new Dutch voice Max, British English voice Peter and Hispanic-American voice Rosa, along with Louise, Acapela’s first French-Canadian voice. All of the languages included in Acapela’s voice synthesis portfolio benefit from the latest updates. The Dutch, French, Swedish and Anglo-American voices in particular, benefit from optimum voice quality.

Acapela Multimedia 6.01 is the ideal solution for all Windows or Mac applications that require a speaking dimension for their functions and interfaces. Acapela Multimedia 6.01 is compatible with Microsoft’s SAPI application and Apple’s Speech Manager application.

Acapela Telecom 6.1 is available for Windows and Linux and is the latest version of the Acapela Telecom package that permits speech synthesis integration in all its multichannel telephone and web applications. Acapela Telecom 6.1 is designed with developers and integrators in the vocal information sectors such as call centres, telephone directory services, unified communication services, website vocalisation and emergency services, not to mention all other applications requiring a simultaneous audio information distribution to a large number of users.

Acapela Telecom 6.1 boasts new voices - Dutch, Hispanic-American and French-Canadian, along with the updated existing voices. With the MRCP 1.1 module, Acapela Telecom 6.1 integrates itself easily into a complex computer architecture allowing the user to reach the full potential of voice synthesis.

Virtual Speaker 2.0 available for Windows, (including Vista) is aimed at users who wish to create their own audio content from text that will vocalise any computer application via an integrated sound file. From the vocalisation of a short message to large manuals, accounts or other text types, Virtual Speaker is always available for voice synthesis operations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

With its casting of up to 30 male and female voices, 8 of which are new (French, German, Portuguese, Danish, French-Canadian, North-American, Dutch and British English), in 15 languages, Virtual Speaker is highly regarded in an international context for the creation of prompts in its telephone applications and for its e-learning and audio content creation. Virtual Speaker 2.0 integrates multiple ergonomic developments and can be rented by the hour or the year to adapt to the specific needs of individual business user(s)."
